Annapurna Foot hillTrek Its one of the best short trek of Nepal, for those who want an easy trek and to see the mountains and the mountain people (with lodges at every stopover).This trek unfolds in the Gurung region, in the charming slate-roofed villages. The Gurungs are the famous warriors of the elite Gurkha battalion of British and Indian armies. The Gurung women wear velvet waistcoats and numerous ornaments. You will cross the rhododendron forests and terraced paddy fields in these very beautiful middle mountains of Annapurnas. A very beautiful short trek that can be carried out in family with children and that which will show you various facets of Nepal. Minimum altitude in Pokhara 900m, maximum altitude in Ghandrung at 1951m. 4 to 5 h of walk per day. Short trek on the foothills of Annapurnas, for all the person having a little walking experience. Tips for guides and porters

Note: All participants have to give a copy of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses paid by Nepal Assemble Treks for your helicopter rescue or research. Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.

In The trek
the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and the physical condition of participants. Each participant who stop his trek or make changes any form of program may not ask any money compensation to the agency.

Day 01:  Arrival Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel
You will be welcomed by the boss of  company at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1300m).After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc) pick up your luggage and look for our company display board at the arrival gate. You will be transfer to Hotel. After check in, you will visit our office; meet your trekking guide as well as other participants. Later in the evening we will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent Touristic Restaurant where you will enjoy  with a fine meal. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu sightseeing and Trek preparation.

Full day of sightseeing in the very famous capital, Kathmandu. We will be visit the famous heritage sites in Kathmandu.


We will start from your hotel by a morning walk in the blocked alleyways of Kathmandu. Your first contact with the smiling Nepalese people. We begin to cross the nice area of Thamel, full of nice shops, bars and restaurants.

We will see during this walk many temples and stupas: it will be for you the beginning of religious lessons, making the difference between Buddhists stupas and Hindu temples. You will discover with a great surprise how these two religions live together.

We will make a stop at Thahiti Tole, then in front of Kathesimbhu stupa. Always meeting statues and local shops (suits, spices, incenses, and so on) and listening the noise of bells (and of horns), we will see Asan Tole with wonderful Hindu temples. Then Indra Chowk and Pyaphal Tole. After 2 hours of walk and of wonder, we will arrive at Durbar Square.

Kathmandu Durbar Square situated the center of Kathmandu where you can see the House of Living Goddess “KUMARI” Kasthamandup temple” Said that was built from single tree in 16th century, big bell-big drams, erotic carving in old temple, old palace etc. All the most important monuments of the city are in this area. You will be filled with wonder by all these numerous such majestic and so ancient temples registered in the Heritage of the UNESCO. It is possible to spend hours, sat on the walk of one of these monuments, admiring architecture, considering the animation of places, dreaming. We will take lunch at the top of a restaurant, with a great plunging view.


You will begin the afternoon by another walk in the streets of Kathmandu, to look at the real face of this city, with local buildings and narrow streets. Then we will arrive at Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Swayambunath stupa has it that Manjushree, found of Kathmandu valley, and discovered the lotus of ancient valley lake on which site the great stupa of Swayambunath was later built. The omni sighted stare of Buddha greets visitors & residents alike compassion. This is one of the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world, which has been registered in UNESCO heritage side.  It is said that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years old, and it symbolizes knowledge. At the summit of this hill, the painted eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist place where pilgrims from all over the world.

From this place we can have a wonderful panoramic view on all the capital. So great at the end of the day, with the sunset. We will come back hotel by bus.

Evening: Time for you to prepare the trek and we introduce in front of you our crew members. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Today after breakfast, we start our drive to go Pokhara. It takes six hours drive. Better to hold on the left pane of the vehicle to enjoy the sceneries through the route. Upon arrival in Pokhara.Evening we will have the pleasure of Mt Machhapuchhare and its shadow in Phewa lake.  Overnight at hotel.

 Day04: Drive to Naya Pul and trek to Ulleri (2,050m)
From Pokhara we do one and half hours drive to Naya Pul and start the trek along Modi Khola to Birethanti village. We walk through this pretty village by following the Burungdi Khola upstream. After lunch stop in Tirkhedunga (renowned for its variety of local beer called Chhyang) we start the steep climb up on the stone staircase through the neatly terraced hillsides to the top of Ulleri. It takes four hours walk.

Day 05:  Trek to Ghorepani [2,855m)
We make our ascent to the Ghorepani village. Winding out of Ulleri the trail now enters through huge fir, magnolia and rhododendron forests. In spring, the forest is a blaze of colour. Trains of mules provide colourful and noisy interludes to the continuous ascent today. Carrying rice and other supplies north to the kingdom of Mustang the trail resounds with the sound of their bells. Finally we emerge from the forests at Ghorepani and suddenly a splendid mountain vista appears before us - Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhare, Lamjung and other Himalayan giants.

Day 06: Trek to Tadapani (2,745m)
We make an early morning climb along the steep trail to see the spectacular Sunrise over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himal from the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m). As the sun emerges from behind the mountains, the sky glows red and pink in the first rays of the sun and the panorama is surely one of the world's great mountain vistas. Best seen at dawn, it is well worth the effort of the climb. After breakfast, we head east, following a ridge to cross a pass at 3,193m. We pass through countryside that is more open and then descend again through jungle to a few lodges in a clearing called Banthanti at 2,620m. Climbing back to 2,745m, we reach another small pass at Tadapani where we have a superb view of Annapurna South and the peak of Machhapuchhare.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk [1,940m)
Leaving Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the huge dense forest. This part of the trek is through a thick forest of old rhododendron trees. When the rhododendron trees are in bloom, these forests actually turn into gardens of dazzlingly beautiful flowers, mostly red, when seen from the air or from far. By afternoon, depending upon the season of travel, we will be pleasantly surprised by the sight of some cherry blossoms in bloom on the slopes on the other side of the ravine. After trekking some more minutes, we enter the village of Ghandruk, a slope settlement with stone houses mostly inhabited by the Gurung people. Along with enjoying the stunningly close-up towering views of Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiuchuli mountains, we also acquaint ourselves with the simple but rich cultural traditions of the Gurung people at the Gurung Museum in Ghandruk. Overnight at Teahouse.

Day 08:  Trek to Pokhara.3 hours walk and 1 hours drive
Today, we trek from Ghandruk village to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara. We descend on a stone staircase towards the Modi Khola. Passing through Shyauli Bazaar, we come back to the pretty village of Birethanti. We will have lunch break here overlooking the river. Another short walk brings us to Naya Pul, where we will meet the private bus and drive back to Pokhara.

Day 09: Pokhara-Kathmandu

Today after breakfast, we start our drive back to Kathmandu. It takes six hours drive. Better to hold on the left pane of the vehicle to enjoy the sceneries through the route. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we get transferred to our hotel; and we spend the afternoon leisurely, perhaps catch up on some last minute shopping and in the evening celebrate "Farewell Dinner" together with yours Trekking staffs. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10:  Friendship farewell day

You will be transferred to the Airport before 2 hours of flight with nice farewell. You will  never forget the trek of wonderful country. And have plan for next visit.
